Introduction

By completing this unit candidates will develop a knowledge and understanding of how to design, produce and test a short video which is fit for purpose. Candidates will be able to:

• review several existing videos
• design an animation
• create an animation
• test the animation.

Task 1 - Reviewing Existing Videos

Assessment Objective 1 is assessed in this task.

In this task you will be looking at least 2 existing videos and reviewing them. You will be looking at a variety of ways of checking to see if they are effective.

Task 2 - Design an Animation

Assessment Objective 2 is assessed in this task.

In this task you will be producing documents and sketches that detail everything about the video you would like to make.

Task 3 - Create an Animation

Assessment Objective 3 is assessed in this task.

In this task you will be producing your chosen video making sure that you use suitable software and techniques as well as following your plan from Task 2.

Task 4 - Test the Animation

Assessment Objective 4 is assessed in this task.

In this task you will be testing the video you created to ensure that it follows your plan and is technically correct.
